About Bass Generator Records

In 2010 Bass Generator made the decision to retire from Dj`ing and remove himself from the scene to be with his family.

This was sad news for many Hardcore fans.

Bass Generator Records label and shop have been an institution since the scene`s beginning.

It`d be a shame to see that end too.

The first release on the label was back in 1991,then in 1993 with the huge selling release "The Event" plus help from Scott Brown`s early releases:(Lord of Hardcore/Genetik),Bass Generator Records was quickly established as a major influence throughout the rave scene, especially in Scotland.

The label went on to release over 40 singles,Distributed internationally,up to 1997.

Bass Generator opened a store in Newcastle in 1993,then in Edinburgh in 1995.

Bass Generator Records went on to running one of the world`s biggest used vinyl record stores on Ebay in the mid 00`s.

Bass Generator Records are now delighted to announce the exciting new re-launch of the label and re-vamped website/store under the new management of Craig Jones and Fraser McEwan.
They have been working tirelessly over the last few months to bring you an exciting new chapter in the life of Bass Generator Records which is celebrating it`s 20th Anniversary this year.

Now based in central Scotland with a new team behind the scenes Bass Generator Records will be launching their first new releases in 13 years and will be working as always to bring you the newest artists while maintaining the old favourites !
